Hello everyone:
I know, it's been way too long since I've written a blog post.
A lot has happened in that time, and almost all of it has been fun.
Last year, I performed a lot abroad; I was in Germany, Belgium, Denmark,
England, Switzerland, and a few times in the Netherlands.
Because of my so many international performances, I ended up on a Buma-Stemra list (in
England you have the MCPS)

I reached number 30 among Dutch artists with the most international
performances, even beating André Rieu.
That event generated an avalanche of publicity.
In no time, I had camera crews from
NOS and RTL4 visiting. SBS6 also covered it, and I ended up on many
radio programs, including Gerard Ekdom's morning show, where I performed a live 80s medley.
There were a few interesting conversations afterward, and I dare say it
wasn't the last time I'll be seen on TV.
Besides all the performances, we also had the wonderful production by the North Holland
Christmas Circus.
What a party that was!
We had a great team, who were very well-coordinated.
I provided the musical accompaniment for the entire show, from start to finish, and the music
selection was quite challenging,
but we pulled it off.
I was even asked to do the intro, so I shared my circus dream with the
audience.
We naturally hope to be able to put on another beautiful production at the end of this year.
This was one with a golden edge.
Everything is going well on my personal life as well.
My mother will be blowing out 87 candles in two months; she's doing great.
Annemieke and I have been together for almost four years and I absolutely can't imagine life without her.
Our "child," by the way, is also doing great. Maya is now a year and a half old and is and remains
an incredibly sweet and mischievous little dog. We are simply crazy about her.
This year is going to be exciting, with everything we've discussed.
I'm also going to release a real CD this spring. There's definitely demand for it, because not
everyone is on
streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music, so I understand, and of course
it's really great to have a CD in your hands.
There are around 80 performances scheduled this year, but there will definitely be more.
Dear friends, you know a thing or two.
Lots of love from us,
DirkJan
