Hello everyone!
Time for a new blog.
I hope everyone is enjoying the lovely spring, we have already enjoyed a few beautiful days.
I am of course busy traveling and performing, not only in the Netherlands, but also far beyond.
For example, I recently went to Switzerland to demonstrate the latest software that our Böhm instruments have received lately.
Switzerland is always a party, and I am already looking forward to the traditional concert in August.
I also perform more often with the German tenor Christoph Alexander, we have various programs to offer, including a tribute to André Rieu, or a tribute to Udo Jurgens.
With our Udo Jurgens program we will be in Bad Oeynhausen (Germany) on 2 August during the Parklichterfest. An audience of about 5000 people is expected, so a nice group.
What has really taken off are my special performances on board various Rijn/Feenstra ships. I estimate that I will perform around 25 ship performances this year, in the Netherlands, but also in Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Belgium.
On board I perform for about 2 to a maximum of 3 hours, and of course I always try to make it a party.
It is actually a very special year, because this year I have been playing for the Böhm company for exactly 30 years.
This anniversary is celebrated with various special performances, and an anniversary software package, but that is only interesting for the people who also play on Böhm instruments themselves.
30 years is a long time, and we have gone through so much, I am looking forward to the future and a further close collaboration with this top company.
Privately, everything is going very well.
My girlfriend and I do a lot, and since the arrival of our Maya (our little doggy) our life has become even more fun.
Maya is now exactly 1 year old and she conquers everyone's heart.
Everything is also going very well with my mother. She is 86, but enjoys life to the fullest.
So dear people, that's it for now.
We wish you a very nice, beautiful, healthy and musical summer.
Have a good time, and keep it good.
Dirk
